The remote Scottish Shetland Isles, which of late has been the focus of some attention for the big boys of the computing world due to a long running and bitter battle between two journalists, fell silent once again yesterday after lawyers packed their briefs following Lord Hamilton’s decision to dismiss the case against Dr Jonathan Wills of the Shetland News brought by Robert Wishart of the Shetland Times. The former had set up a web site with links to the Shetland Times’s web site. Dr Wills has been given permission to continue his service providing he gives adequate credit to the source of his pages and the issue of what constitutes an infringement of copyright on the web remains uncertain.
