Borland International Inc has got another Friend of the Court filing in its suit against Lotus Development Corp: it has persuaded 10 US copyright law professors to put their names to a statement that addresses the type of analysis the Boston Court ought to use in deciding Lotus’s claim that Borland’s Quattro Pro infringes Lotus’s 1-2-3 copyrights, and suggesting that the plaintiff needs to prove that Borland copied the entire thing, and not simply some of the details.
