British Telecommunications Plc has opened a new audioconferencing operations centre in the City; Telecom says that Conference Call outgrew its headquarters in Europa House because of increasing interest in the service – Telecom says traffic through the bureau has increased by around 60% over the year to January 1991, with dramatic peaks on days such as Friday February ( this year, when snow disrupted travel: the new headquarters doubles the bureau’s space – and the division will be taking its Europa House phone number with it.
