Fremont, California-based Everex Systems Corp has a separate division, Advanced Computer Engineering Inc, down in Irvine, which has plunged into the multi-processor Unix business with a SuperCube that takes up to six 33MHz 80486s. It runs under Santa Cruz Operation Inc Unix with MPX ex-tensions, starts at $17,500 and will go through resellers. The company also announced the AceCube, a single-processor, EISA bus Unix system that supports up to 64 users. It has 12 slots and costs $6,400. And the DUXstation is a $750 pizza box terminal unit – without screen that starts out as a serial text terminal. It can be upgraded to an MS-DOS micro – Ethernet and TCP/IP support can be added so that it can be used as an X Window terminal.
