Plundered Comptronix Corp, Guntersville, Alabama has laid off 35 middle managers as part of its on-going review of its cost structure and has retained an executive search firm to identify candidates for chief executive and chief financial officer; the contract computer manufacturer expects that its form 10-K for 1992 – the form that all US public companies are required to lodge with the Securities & Exchange Commission – will include restatements of its financial figures for 1989, 1990 and 1991 it has already said that the reported profits were in reality losses.
