Information technology equipment and services company Fujitsu has released its new Remote Infrastructure Management service, which is designed to deliver high-quality system operations at a low price through offshore facilities.

Fujitsu said the new Remote Infrastructure Management service will be operated by India-based Fujitsu Consulting India (FCIPL), and the service remotely handles the operational oversight of customer systems.

The new service enables high-quality system operations that overcome common concerns regarding offshore services and the service is available at low cost so that customers can cut their system operations costs and optimise operations from a managerial perspective, said the company.

Fujitsu said it is now leveraging the know-how at FCIPL to offer services in both English and Japanese to Japanese companies.

The new service provides high-quality, low-cost system operations services and with the new service Fujitsu has shown that it can cut costs for systems where it is employed by roughly 20% over a three-year period, said the company.

The Japan-based company said the service provides robust operations technology which helps put customers’ minds at ease regarding service quality issues and also the service provides system operations that maintain an advanced level of security.

The services include: system monitoring; utilisation management; backup management; performance management; security management; version/release management; service management, said Fujitsu.
