Northern Telecom Ltd’s BNR, formerly Bell Northern Research, has signed a research agreement with the Campinas, Brazil-based research and development arm of Telecomunicacoes Brasileiras SA, Telebras as a first step towards upgrading and expanding the Brazilian telecommunications network: areas to be covered include network planning, with Intelligent Network services and advanced phone network management.
