Technology business offerings and services provider CSC has been selected to join Google’s Cloud Transformation Program.

The Cloud Transformation Program highlights Google partners who have expertise and a demonstrated ability to help businesses make the most of their IT investments, said the company.

CSC said it will help enterprise customers to build business offerings that take advantage of the computing power, scalability and security of Google’s cloud services.

To sell and deliver IT offerings based on Google’s cloud services, CSC will apply its global technology consulting, cloud implementation expertise and offerings organisation.

CSC said it is investing in expertise, knowledge management and intellectual capital around Google platforms to develop custom applications on Google App Engine, business process outsourcing and data analytics offerings.

CSC Business Solutions and Services president James Cook said CSC has a proven track record of applying business and technology consulting, systems integration proficiency and cloud expertise to help customers use Google cloud platforms on an enterprise-wide scale.

"As an initial member of the Cloud Transformation Program, we are excited to help businesses quickly implement Google’s cloud services and accelerate their IT modernization programs, reduce costs and increase agility," Cook said.

Google Global Head of Enterprise Partnerships Rahul Sood said, "We’re excited to work with CSC to help enterprise customers build mobility solutions, email migration services and customized data migration and collaboration applications — all hosted on Google’s cloud infrastructure."

"CSC has a great record of helping governments and commercial clients in the United States and Europe successfully transition to the cloud," added Sood.
