Hoskyns Group Plc, majority-owned by Cap Gemini Sogeti SA, has been awarded UKP50m worth of facilities management contracts by Granada Group Plc: for the next five years, Hoskyns will service IBM and Amdahl mainframe, mid-range and networked operations of Granada UK Rental, Granada Television, Granada Computer Services International, Granada Leisure and the parent company, at its new centre in Bedford; the company has also won a UKP6m three-year facilities management contract to manage the Bank of England’s central mainframe installation covering the period during which the Bank will downsize its computing requirements; the 41 staff affected are getting a good deal – they will receive a redundancy package from the Bank, plus a new job for all at Hoskyns.
