Microtest Inc, Phoenix, Arizona is selling to one of shareholders, Intel Corp, all rights to the printer connection technology Intel has used in its NetPort product line. The agreement includes the the technology and source code and assets related to the technology, including contracts for business with certain Microtest OEM accounts. Intel’s relationship with Microtest began in 1990, with the licensing of the LANport print server technology for use in its NetPort print server, when Intel also bought a minority stake in Microtest (CI No 1,567). It made a second investment in the company last summer. No financial details were given.
