Centel Corp has formed a joint venture with Lincoln Telecommunications Co to hold Centel’s 55.2% of Omaha Cellular Limited Partnership: Lincoln has taken over control of the franchise, paying Centel $11.9m and a discount note for $23.8m to buy the 50% stake, valuing the cellular franchise operator at $48m.
