The Spanish arm of L M Ericsson Telefon AB, Madrid-based Ericsson Telecommunicaciones SA, has won a $73,750 contract from the Financial Options and Forward Market association to set up an X25 Eripax network. The network will be linked to member financial institutions at 70 designated points in several Spanish cities including Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao and Valencia. An X32 public server will act as a safety route, and the Eripax multifunction nodes will connect central computers to TCP/IP local networks by X25 packet networks. Eripax data networks are already used in 10 different stock exchanges.
