Santa Clara, California-based RasterOps Corp says it is shipping its first multifrequency colour monitors, the RasterOps/20T Multiscan and the RasterOps/20 Multimode for the Macintosh and for MS-DOS machines: the 20 multifrequency monitors support a range of resolutions and frequencies to provide a variety of synchronising possibilities; the RasterOps/20T is a high-end monitor featuring Trinitron technology, which works with third-party graphic adaptors on the Mac and MS-DOS machines, and also supports the Sun Microsystems Inc Sparcstation graphics adaptors and is compatible with all of RasterOps’ colour display adaptors; it has 50Hz to 120Hz vertical refresh rate, and for a limited come-on is bundled with Berkeley Systems Inc’s AfterDark 2.0 screen-saver at $3,500; the $2,500 RasterOps/20 incorporates Hitachi Ltd technology to provide high-resolution support.
