Business process and document management firm Xerox has introduced new DocuShare enterprise content management (ECM) software which help in managing documents and reducing costs.

DocuShare 6.6 helps organisations to focus on their business objectives by redirecting time spent on paper-based processes, which automates the entire lifecycle of documents, images and forms – from the point of capture until they are no longer needed.

The new software include DocuShare Lifecycle Manager which keeps documents current to meet compliance standards; and DocuShare Enterprise Capture which digitises large volumes of paper documents into searchable data through integration with ABBYY FlexiCapture .

The DocuShare enables SharePoint integration that allows access to DocuShare content and simultaneous searching – with the ability to browse and manage documents, collections and workspaces, the company said.

It features Workflow and eForms enhancements that offer expanded content rules and permissions for document collections, and the ability to add attachments and authentication to eForms – supporting offerings such as invoice and claims processing, and case management.

Adobe claims that Workflows can be easily integrated with DocuShare add-ons to create a complete offering.
