Trading in the shares of both Centel Corp and Sprint Corp was suspended shortly before we closed last night, but according to Reuter, shareholders of Centel voted to approve the acquisition by Sprint: the news wire cited an informed source at the special Centel shareholder meeting called to vote on the deal and noted that the source said over 50% of the shares held were voted in favour of the merger; the official results are not due to be announced until December 11.
