Irvine, California-based Advanced Logic Research Inc has expanded its line of colour notebook computers with the upgradable Ranger MC4SX/20 weighing 7 lbs 8 oz and coming standard with three internal slots for CPU upgrades to 25MHz 80486, 4Mb of RAM expandable to 16Mb and input-out expansion for optional SCSI, facsimile modem and external hard drives, CD-ROM drives or tapes; it costs $3,000 with 4Mb and an 80Mb disk, $3,250 with 120Mb.
