Microsemi Corp, Santa Ana, California is something of a snapper up of unconsidered trifles in the chip business, and it has just added two to its collection – one from SGS Thomson Microelectronics NV and the other from National Semiconductor Corp. Terms of neither agreement were disclosed. From SGS, it gets its Radio Frequency Semiconductor business, including manufacturing equipment, a 20,000 square foot facility in Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania, 30 employees and the rights to manufacture a group of RF products. From NatSemi it takes the high reliability military monolithic diode array product line, including manufacturing equipment, inventories and product-related rights; it will move the work into its Sertech Labs division in Watertown, Massachusetts, where the firm already assembles and screens the line under contract to NatSemi.
