Hewlett-packard (HP) has released the latest version of its customer communication management offering Exstream 8.0.

The updated offering is designed to enable global enterprises to build loyalty and form customer relationships, while also saving cost and driving top-line revenue growth, said HP.

Unveiling the offering at the HP Exstream User’s Conference, HP said that Exstream 8.0 now enables assured delivery and receipt of on-demand documents, electronic signatures for accelerated transactions and expanded multichannel capabilities.

The company said that Exstream 8.0 now automatically provides delivery of a secondary communication such as a printed document if the first delivery fails, through Exstream Delivery Manager, which also logs all delivery activity, enabling enterprises to track what communications were sent and to whom.

The company said that Exstream 8.0 facilitates the addition of electronic signatures. Rather than deliver documents via print channels and then waiting for customers to sign and fax or mail back, enterprises can deliver documents via the web or email, and enable customers to electronically sign contracts, agreements and other critical communications, HP added.

Exstream 8.0 can also track real-time completed customer communications and offers expanded Exstream Multichannel capabilities, which deliver customer communications across multiple electronic channels including the web, SMS and email, said HP.

HP Exstream product manager Avi Greenfield said that with the proliferation of smartphones and other mobile devices, enterprises are seeking innovative ways to deliver personalised communications in the formats customers prefer.

"With a complete and intuitive communication solution like HP Exstream, enterprises can use a single platform to engage customers in meaningful ways and make every interaction more profitable," Greenfield added.
