BMC ADDS DATATOOLS’ BACK-UP SOFTWARE TO ITS OWN

Houston, Texas-based BMC Software Inc is moving into the back-up and recovery market, integrating Californian DataTools Inc’s SQL BackTrack into its application and data management products. SQL BackTrack for Sybase and Oracle provides automatic back-up and recovery functions. It ships next quarter. BMC has invested in DataTools in return for the exclusive distribution rights.
