ADC Telecommunications Inc signed a memorandum of understanding to work co-operatively on an initiative to increase availability of voice, data and video services thoughout China with ADC’s Homeworx hybrid fiber and coaxial system. ADC’s partners in the alliance include China United Telecommunications Corp, the Ministry of Electron Industry, and the China Communications System Corp. Both China Unicom and ChinaCom hold licenses to provide telecommunications services in China. ADC said it would work with both to accomplish the goals of China’s five-year plan to install between 75m and 100m lines.
