Aonix Inc, the result of a recent merger between Thomson Software Products and Interactive Development Environments Inc (CI No 3,041), is integrating the ObjectAda development environment with Orbix/Ada, the Ada95 binding for Iona Technologies Ltd’s Orbix Corba 2.0-compliant object request broker, developed jointly with Objective Interface Systems Inc (CI No 2,979). Aonix says the integration will enable developers to write fully distributed object applications using the Ada language, and says it will sell an ObjectAda version of Orbix/Ada from next quarter.
