The Bellevue, Washington-based Attachmate Corp is to acquire the IRMA board king Digital Communications Associates Inc of Alpharetta, Georgia in a share exchange to create a firm with annual sales of over $400m but terms were not disclosed. The company will retain the Attachmate name and be run from Bellevue. Both do micro-to-mainframe and proprietary-to-open communications products.
