Both Canon Inc and Hewlett-Packard Co have released new laser printers aimed at the Japanese market: Yokogawa Hewlett-Packard came out with its first Hewlett-Packard-made Japanese language laser printer, the HP LaserJet 4PJ, signifying the company’s plans for major expansion in the Japanese market, and its intent to pursue rivals Canon and Epson Corp in the printers- for- Japanese-Windows market; Canon’s new offering is the LaserShot LBP-A309GII, at $3,346, almost $1,000 lower than its previous models; the new LaserShot has a performance of 16 pages per minute and Canon is hoping to sell 10,000 units per month.
