British Telecommunications Plc’s BT North America is still pressing the US Federal Communications Commission to take a close look at the AT&T Corp-Unisource NV deal in order to determine whether it is in the public’s interest, saying AT&T’s Unisource partners have the significant ability to use their monopolistic powers to discriminateagainst potential competitors and adding that the same market conditions required by the Commission prior to its approval of the British Telecom-MCI Communications Corp alliance should be applied to AT&T’s deal with the continentals.
