Newbridge Networks Corp may be growing fast, but it sees no danger of a slowdown, and says it expects a growth rate of 50% in sales, and for profits to be reasonable for the fiscal year ending April 30 1995. Newbridge sales rose 63% in the fourth quarter of fiscal 1994 to the equivalent of $119m and profit was up 22% at $34.5m. Sales for the year as a whole rose a storming 80% to $402m. Newbridge said its order intake and order backlog for the fourth quarter and 1994 as a whole were at record levels. During the fourth quarter the company’s orders again exceeded shipments which caused backlog to increase for the 12th consecutive quarter.
