Morgan Stanley & Co puts Computer Associates International Inc’s CA-ManMan/X installed base at 600 – twice the number it picked up when it acquired the manufacturing soft?ware from ASK. It hears that versi?on 3.2 of the software is in beta test, and the product will add warehouse management functionality converted from the PRMS product line. The Islandia, New York firm is also selling new CA-PRMS – an AS/400 product acquired with Pan?sophic Systems – licenses as exist?ing AS/400 sites roll out the thing to new plants, and an 8.4 release is in beta test. The implementation for use with the Unix version of ManMan/X has not yet surfaced.
