UniPress Software Inc, the Edison, New Jersey personal computer-to-Unix communications house, has launched the PowerTerm family of terminal emulators for personal computers, licensed from Israeli company Ericom Software Ltd. PowerTerm supports a long line of terminals and the new version has added Televideo 925 and 950 terminals, as well as IBM Corp 3270 extensions. These extensions mean PowerTerm can communicate with SNA over TCP/IP, according to the company. The full version is available on the Web at www.unipress.com/free’evals for free and runs for a month, after which it dies. PowerTerm 320 for connecting to Unix costs $100, PowerTerm 420 for VMS, PowerTerm 3270 and PowerTerm 5250 are each $200. PowerTerm Inter-Connect, including all the emulations and a TCP/IP stack goes for $300.
