Sausolito, California-based Autodesk Inc is expanding its reach in geographic information systems with acquisition of the assets of Automated Methods (Pty) Ltd, based near Johannesburg, South Africa. Using Automated Methods’ technology, Autodesk plans a new family of mapping and geographic information system products. The terms were not disclosed.
