Lockheed Martin has announced its collaboration with the TechAmerica Foundation, industry, and academia to develop the US roadmap and policy recommendations for the adoption of cloud computing.

The company along with other companies worked with 70 other commissioners working over a period of three months and collaborated on four areas which include Trust, Transformation, Transparency and Transnational Data Flow.

The TechAmerica Foundation Report from the Commission on the Leadership Opportunity in US Deployment of the Cloud 2 clearly illustrates a path and guidance for next steps to move the US government to the cloud computing.

The recommendations in the report will help the government adopt cloud computing technologies.

Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions vice president and chief technology officer Rick Johnson said the company’s key areas of focus in the report pertained to cyber security innovation and acquisition, all areas were of equal importance as they address the affordability and security needs of our customers at a time when cloud computing holds great promise.
