VocalTec Inc, Northvale, and Dialogic Corp, Parsippany, New Jersey have joined forces to enhance the concept of the Internet telephone to create an Internet Phone Telephony Gateway, to enable computer users to place calls to standard local, long- distance or international telephone users; the Internet telephone gateway is expected to be available as a complete system next quarter; it comprises a Windows95 personal computer and the VocalTec gateway software and a Dialogic computer telephone adaptor board, with a 28.8Kbps or faster modem. The Internet telephone gateway will be available as a complete system in the second quarter and will be available to third party product developers to incorporate into their own products
