HP has unveiled new offerings and services that the company says advance the way clients use unified communications (UC) to improve collaboration and business responsiveness.

HP’s new voice transformation solutions, virtual workplace solutions and network readiness services address the trials organizations face when integrating telephony with communications applications, such as video or instant messaging.

The company claims that its new offerings and services will enable a growing virtual workforce, as well as interoperability issues caused by aging, inflexible telephony and network infrastructures and disparate communications systems.

The voice transformation solutions will enable clients to build the foundation they need to create a productive, agile workplace that improves customer responsiveness.

It enables simplified collaboration with centralised Voice over IP (VoIP) and traditional phone systems extended via Internet Protocol (IP), help clients to evolve their communication infrastructure, and enables clients to share information by consolidating voice messaging and audio conferencing into a single interface.

The virtual workplace solutions improve the flow of information and communication between the organization, suppliers and partners, HP said.

It provides a single, cohesive platform that integrates unified messaging, web, video and data to secure clients’ intellectual property, and a virtual workplace architecture.

HP network readiness services for UC coordinate network readiness with clients’ UC roadmaps and eliminate network barriers, enabling clients to achieve their enterprise communication goals.

In order to bring together a comprehensive range of technology components for these three solutions, HP is collaborating with industry vendors – Microsoft, Avaya, Polycom and Alcatel-Lucent.
