Intergraph Corp, Huntsville, Alabama is to spin off its Intergraph Electronics electronic design automation division as a separate company, calling it VeriBest Inc. The new Veribest will be based in Boulder, Colorodo, with development offices in Huntsville and Mountain View, California; it will retain all 350 employees. Financial details were not disclosed but Intergraph will retain a majority stake in VeriBest. VeriBest expects 1995 turnover to come out at $34m, up from $28m in 1994. VeriBest will continue to offer tools for Windows NT, Windows95 and Unix – it develops and markets the complete VeriBest Design Tools suite for design capture, simulation, synthesis, layout, verification and analysis.
