Cap Gemini Sogeti SA, in association with Aerospatiale SA subsidiary Apsys, announced a contract with the Normandy refinery for petroleum concern Total, to develop a risk management system: GRADE, Gestion de Risques et d’Aide a la DEcision, will be based on the Formetor risk management technology which was developed by a European consortium (now managed by Cap Gemini) that brought together specialists in artificial intelligence, real-time control and industrial safety; Cap Gemini’s French subsidiary Cap Sesa also announced a contract from the Service Hydrographique et Oceanographique oceanographic institute in Brest for its new system for the processing of oceanographic data.
