Edinburgh-based Rodime Plc, now just an agency for collecting royalties on its 3.5 disk drive patents, reports that its retained loss for the six months to March 31 totalled $5.3m, compared with a retained profit of $558,000 a year ago; it warns that it is unlikely any significant licensing agreements will be reached in the second half of fiscal 1994, although losses should continue at a reduced rate as administrative and legal expenses are expected to be at a lower level pending the outcome of the company’s appeal of its lawsuit against Quantum Corp and continued delay in starting trial of its suit against Seagate Technology Inc.
