Dell Services has agreed to offer a full range of transformation and infrastructure services to support Towers Watson’s data center operations, under a new five-year contract.
Towers Watson’s data center operations house the company’s corporate business systems.
The services include Data Center Consolidation, Next Generation Infrastructure Implementation and ongoing Managed Support Services.
The reference architecture of the Dell Services’ next-generation compute platform will support the compute, storage and backup requirements of Towers Watson.
The solution will consolidate nine existing datacenters of Towers Watson into two resilient compute environments.
Furthermore, Dell’s storage and server support services will enable Towers Watson to better use financial resources and reduce operating expenses.
Towers Watson CTO John Dabek said Dell Services has worked closely with their team to develop the strategy, reference architecture, transformation approach and meet demanding timeframes and financial objectives for this critical initiative.
