British Telecommunications Plc will cut weekend international call rates with effect from September 6 with the biggest reductions, 23%, coming on calls to the US and Canada. Other reductions include 21% to the Indian sub-continent, 19% to Hong Kong and Singapore, 15% to Australia, New Zealand and Japan, 12% to Western Europe, and 8% to South Africa and Ireland. The reductions will benefit both domestic and business users, Telecom said.
