The French finance ministry announced yesterday that it is selling about 10m shares of Compagnie de Machines Bull SA to NEC Corp, Motorola Inc and Dai Nippon Printing Co at a price of 22 francs per share, valuing the issue at $42.3m. France Telecom is also taking part in the operation. After the sale, France Telecom, NEC and Motorola will hold 18.7% each of Bull and Dai Nippon will hold 5.8%. Meantime, speaking for itself, Bull said that it expects to report a consolidated net profit for 1996 and looks to see a significant improvement over whatever number that comes out at in 1997.
