Cadence Design Systems Inc is acquiring High Level Design Systems Inc of Vancouver to develop .35 micron processors, for $94.1m in Cadence shares. San Jose-based Cadence was the company behind last month’s system on a chip alliance (CI No 2,991). The two companies will define and deliver and integrated RTL-to-silicon Distributed Shared Memory methodology and sign-off process for system-level chips.
