Education is a more promising multimedia market than entertainment, Ludmil Pandeff, president of AxaVision Inc, a US venture capital company that serves the multimedia community, told the Financial Times multimedia conference in London yesterday: While on the surface, the entertainment field produces glitzy games and glamorous revenues, I believe that on closer examination, education is the more promising market – it seems to me to offer the most interesting opportunities, strategically and financially, for multimedia entrepreneurs; he cited the enormous US educational crisis and said that unlike the video games market, the education market was stabile, offered price stability, and the organisation of the academic year gave companies time to develop products.
