Electronic educational on-line field trips will be offered by Delphi Internet Services Corp to its members through its new educational services division. The trips will include interactive communication elements enabling teachers and students to experience real-time events. As the result of a venture with Ocean Challenge Inc and ScottForesman, Delphi Internet will act as the exclusive online service for Ocean Challenge’s 1994-1995 Class Afloat study programme for high school children in the US. A series of lesson plans and discussion topics will enable teachers to integrate the adventures children on a sea trip into the classroom curriculum via an on line connection to children in the classroom, featuring electronic mail and real-time chat.
