Netscape Communications Corporation announced yesterday an enhanced version of Navigator 2.0 called Navigator Gold Personal Edition for Windows and Netscape Navigator Personal Edition 2.0 for Windows and Macintosh. These products enable users to access, share and publish information on the Internet from their homes or small businesses. Navigator Gold Personal Edition includes a Page Starter Site, providing users with tools and templates to develop Web pages and users can also create an Internet access account with an Internet Service Provider (ISP). It also supports one- button publishing, a feature that enables users to post text, links and images used to create Web pages with an ISP that supports Web publishing. Navigator Personal Edition 2.0 provides users with the tools they need to connect to the Internet over a modem including connection software and wizards that allow users to automatically create an account with any of five leading Internet Service providers including NETCOM, Concentric Network, PSINet, Portal and internetMCI. Users can also configure Personal Edition 2.0 for an existing Internet account. Netscape Navigator Gold Personal Edition for Windows will be available during the third quarter of this year with a street price of $79.95. Netscape Navigator Personal Edition 2.0 for Windows is now available for $49.95.
