REUTERS Q3 REVENUE UP 9%

Reuters Holdings Plc says sales of its new 3000 series products have met expectations so far: The response from those clients who have begun using the 3000 series, which adds extensive databases and analytics to our real-time services, has been positive, said Peter Job. These early signs are encouraging but we need to maintain this initial momentum to translate interest into significant additional revenue, he said. Heavy investment in the company’s product line required the streamlining of its organization to achieve maximum market penetration in a cost-effective manner. He also said revenue in the third quarter rose 9% to 736m British pounds with revenue for the first nine months rising by 10% to 2.17bn. Growth in recurring revenue fr om information products was broadly maintained, he said,
