British Telecommunications Plc’s triple-A long-term and A1+ short-term ratings were confirmed by Standard & Poor’s Corp, but the agency’s Paris office has altered its outlook on the long-term ratings to negative from stable because of the increasing liberalisation of European telecommunications markets.
