Cap Gemini Sogeti SA’s Cap Gemini America has sold its Yorkvic client-server maintenance and work management line to Computron Software Inc of Rutherford, New Jersey for $3.4m, to be paid over two years. Computron will also pay Cap Gemini up to $3m more in royalties. Under the deal, Computron acquires all rights to the Yorvik products, as well as the Yorvik development centre in Canada. Computron will drop the name in favour of its own, and will market it to the process manufacturing, petrochemical, utilities, transport, power, plant-maintenance, and municipality sectors with hopes to introduce its financial products on the back of Yorvik sales in these markets.
