Southborough, Massachusetts-based Chipcom Corp yesterday duly announced definitive agreement to acquire David Systems Inc to gain access to its Fast Ethernet technology developed with National Semiconductor Corp. The price to be paid for the 10-year-old $28m-a-year networking systems company is just $4m cash.
