Hsinchu,Taiwan-based Accton Technology Corp has extended its family of small office internetworking products with the release of the WebVisa Router BR2300, a low-cost local network-wide area network router for intranet applications or interfacing to the Internet. The WebVisa Router provides wide area network and Internet access. According to Accton, the WebVisa is suited to maintain direct links with third-party Internet devices, such as the routers used by Internet service providers. The WebVisa supports Frame Relay over telecommunications lines, Point-to- Point Protocol encapsulation, RIP/Static routing protocols, and TCP/IP protocols. The WebVisa BR2300 router is priced at $880.
