Apple Computer Inc’s first European licensee for its Pippin cut-down Macintosh is a Norwegian company, Katz Media A/S, which appears to be unrelated to the New York seller of advertising for radio, television and cable stations, Katz Media Group Inc . Katz Media A/S is owned by Olympia Finans A/S of Oslo, and plans to ship a Pippin-derived CD-ROM-based games console for use with a television set in the autumn, by which time it plans to have about 100 CD-ROM titles ready. The Pippin will be offered with a keyboard, modem, hand-held controller and Internet access software. Katz Media says it also plans Iomega Corp Zip drives, floppy and hard disks and other peripheral devices.
