The folks at c/net: The Computer Network came up with the bright idea of searching the Internet to find out how many ways there are to search the Internet. And the San Francisco company has now turned its findings into a product of its own, setting up a free Web site at http://www.search.com, which combines the talents of the roughly 250 different search engines it found in the Web’s nooks and crannies.
