Since January 1 this year, Steepler Trade has been operating under the name Lamport Co Ltd. Steepler Trade is the computer distribution part of the Steepler group of companies which is one of the largest computer vendors in Moscow. The company is registered in Germany. It takes all of the shipment and technical support obligations for Steepler Trade. There will be a second Russian firm, called JSC Lamport, established in Moscow to represent the interests of Lamport Co Ltd in Russia. Over 25 firms with the word Steepler in their names now operate in the Russian Federation. Next year Steepler plans to float Lamport Co on the New York Stock Exchange.
