Buying again, Milpitas, California-based Adaptec Inc is to acquire Incat Systems Software USA Inc, Campbell, California, for 385,078 new Adaptec shares worth $16.75m, and future payments contingent on performance. Incat Systems develops and markets applications and input-output software for use with Compact Disk-Recordable write-once drives.
